True Stories is a live storytelling event hosted by Shane Callaghan, featuring four storytellers sharing real stories inspired by the theme “Life Lessons.” Each storyteller has 10 minutes to take the audience into a moment from their own life.
Often described as a cross between documentary and theatre, True Stories creates an intimate, surprising, and sometimes enlightening experience for both the audience and the storytellers.

Host & Producer: Shane Callaghan (Ireland)
Shane Callaghan is a stand-up comedian from Ireland. He has toured across Europe with his solo comedy shows and appeared on national radio and television in several countries, including the BBC. Shane loves storytelling because it is an accessible art form open to everyone — and, at its best, it reminds us that we are not as different or as alone as we sometimes think.
Storyteller & Producer: Hon Chong (Malaysia/ Slovakia)
Hon is an actor, improviser, theatre director, and teaching artist. He is the Artistic Director of Funnylicious Theater in Bratislava and the founder of ISAC and Story Nights, a grassroots storytelling project. He launched the first True Stories Night in Bratislava in 2015 and has since continued creating theatre, storytelling events, and different performance formats.
